Catherine and Christian – 26 May 2012

Catherine and Christian were married on Saturday 26 May 2012 at Gaynes Park in The Orangery.  The day turned into one of those beautiful golden lit evenings and everything seemed to glow.  There were so many wonderful details to enjoy – where to start?

Hopefully the photos show how gorgeous all the details were, starting with how fabulous Catherine and Christian looked!  There were lots of wonderful quirky details from the swallows theme on the Sanderson wallpaper used on the table plan, in the card suitcase and with the swallows on Christian’s tie.  From Catherine’s gorgeous wedding dress, her headpiece and the cerise red underskirt and red shoes.  To the little woollen Peruvian finger puppet favours, the bunting, the boutonniere’s, the vintage jugs and flowers, the guest canvas to sign or (paint on?) and so it goes on…

The bridesmaids and their little flowergirl and daughter who was enchanting to watch toddle around.

Karen and Stephen – May 2012 – Purple, pink and white

Karen and Stephen were married on Thursday 24 May 2012 in The Orangery at Gaynes Park.

Today I enjoyed watching the men have their boys shots and then I watched the ceremony. Steve Mason from I-m Art was the official photographer. It was divine to see Karen’s parents so proudly watching on as she came out of The Apple Loft and walked down the drive towards The Heart Gate.  Very moving indeed.

The colour theme was a pink, purple and white with vintage pink roses in the arrangements.  The bridesmaids wore knee length strapless dresses in dusky purple and the little flower girl a cream dress with a purple belt to tie in the colour theme.Walled Gardens ‘aisle’ and the arrival of the bride……..

Holly and Ricky – 19 May 2012 – Sage green with white theme

Holly and Ricky were married at Gaynes Park in The Orangery on Saturday 19 May 2012.  I didn’t see the ceremony, but popped in during the evenings celebrations, which was really enjoyable to see and soak in the atmosphere!Holly looked fabulous in her long strapless dress, with her silver clutch bag and pretty hairpiece.  You can see I had lots of fun taking photos and Holly sweetly obliged me!

The bridesmaids wore long sage green dresses and Holly’s sister wore a long cream dress with a green belt to tie in with the theme. There were lots of lovely detailsBeautiful flowers by Marion from Poppies Designer Flowers.  I always love seeing pedestals flanking the entrance, they look fantastic.  The lovely milk jugs were still on the tables left out in the evening and looked very pretty and sweet.A completely mad photobooth run by Adam from The Photo Lounge.  It was great fun to watch as the guests chose and posed!

And then there was the DJ’ing by Lovelight and watching a bit of the dancing and saying goodnight and have fun from me. I walked via the Gather Barn into the Walled Gardens to see the heart crooks by Out of Love that Holly had chosen.  They were featured on the cover of the venue supplement magazine from the recent You and Your Wedding photoshoot that was photographed at Gaynes Park (by Chanelle Segerius-Bruce Photography).

Lucy and Matthew – 18 May 2012 – blue and white theme

Lucy and Matthew were married on Friday 18 May 2012 in a 1.30pm ceremony in The Orangery at Gaynes Park.  It was another overcast May day, but at least the rain on the whole stayed away!

The grown up bridesmaids wore long strapless blue dresses.  The younger bridesmaid wore a shorter version of the dress with spaghetti staps and the baby flower girls a white dress with a blue belt to match.

The ceremony table was set in the middle of The Orangery with the central garden ‘aisle’ leading to the ceremony table.  The flowers were a mix of blue and white with green foliage.  I love blue thistle and its colour.  The sharp texture was softened when mixed with the freesias, peonies and white gypsophila.

The details in The Orangery were gorgeous, again reflecting the blue and white theme.  The confetti in the milk bottles and cones (of I think dried delphinium petals) looked very pretty against the duck egg blue of the crate.

Hannah and Simon – 13 May 2012 – Pink with white theme – Part I

Hannah and Simon were married on Sunday 13 May 2012 in The Orangery at Gaynes Park and after weeks of pretty much non stop rain, the sun shone, which was an unexpected and lovely bonus!

As always, it was thoroughly enjoyable and very special hearing about and watching Hannah and Simon’s family preparing for the wedding since the time they booked.  This opportunity to catch up on the latest plans was made even more possible, because Sylvia Wye (whom many of you know as the Deputy Head Registrar for Epping and who has married many of our couples and also my brother a couple of years ago), is Hannah’s gorgeous Mum, so I had lots of opportunities to catch up on the latest exciting wedding news!  To finally see all the plans come to fruition was, as ever a joy :)

Gemma and Louis – 12 May 2012 – Purple and white theme

Gemma and Louis were married on Saturday 12 May 2012 at St Andrew’s Church, Hornchurch and arrived afterwards to celebrate their marriage at Gaynes Park .

I was lucky enough to arrive to listen to some of the speeches which were both emotional and very amusing to listen to.  It was the delight and happiness that emanated from so many faces that was the emotion I floated off with when I went home.

The Mill Barn looked sensational with wonderful candelabras decorated by Designer Flowers with white and green and crystals draping down them.  The four old trunks had ruscus twirling around them.  Ilknur from Mediterranean Occasions had decorated the chairs with beautiful white lace sashes.  Then there was that amazing Choccywoccydoodah cake adding a splash of colour in the corner.  The tables were named after each year Gemma and Louis had been together – a long courtship, since 2002.

Sinead and Johnny – 11 May 2012

Sinead and Johnny were married at Gaynes Park in The Orangery on Friday 11 May 2012. I saw them briefly the day before their wedding when their family team were decorating the venue and lots of photos were put up to decorate the loos and entertain the guests.

The bridesmaids wore a beautiful deep aubergine coloured long dresses with different back styles.

Bunting hung along The Orangery and lanterns hung from the trees in The Walled Gardens.  The flower arches as you entered the central doors and above the ceremony table looked stunning decorated with ruscus, ivy, orchids, roses and purple lilac amongst the flowers.   Jugs of mixed flowers, purple, pinks, whites and greens were the table centrepieces in The Mill Barn.

Lizzy and Tom – Sunday 6 May 2012

Lizzy and Tom were married on Sunday 6 May 2012 at Gaynes Park in The Orangery.  As we were driving out, I found them both at the bottom having some more photos with their photographer with the oilseed rape field as a backdrop.  You can see the tip of our car door!

I wasn’t able to watch the beginning of the ceremony, but I soaked up all the wonderful details and decorative touches in The Mill Barn for the wedding breakfast.  It felt like I was in an enchanted woodland – from the huge range of vintage tea cups with the little hand stitiched silk bags sitting in each cup; the comic book cover guest mount to sign, the incredible woodland style themed table centres and flowers, to the fabulous white twinkly light drapes hanging down the tree trunks and the chandelier at the centre.

The Orangery was laid for a ceremony at the far end and had a red carpet to the ceremony table with more draping attractively framing the ceremony table.   Obviously here it is the end of the day, the petals have been scattered and the flowers on the ceremony table have been moved across to The Mill Barn for the wedding breakfast.

The bridesmaids wore lovely pale long strapless column dresses.

Whilst I was there the photographer had whisked Lizzy and Tom off for lots of photos around the gardens.

Interspersed amongst all these beautiful moments watching the happy couple float around, were more beautiful details – flower crooks lining the ‘aisle’, the flowers on the outside tables and the signs.

Then in the evening the lights dimmed and the party really started….

Natalie and James – 5 May 2012

Natalie and James were married at Gaynes Park in The Orangery on Saturday 5 May 2012.   The weather was overcast, but luckily the rain held off.

It was rather wonderful, because as I arrived Charlotte, one of the waitresses and I were stopped at the old tennis court car park by one of the groomsmen, because Natalie had arrived in front of us.  For the first time ever, as far as I can remember, I have never seen a chauffeur roll out the red carpet at The Apple Loft Cottage.  Very gallant indeed.   Sorry for the blurry image!
